Natyanova Performing Arts Centre FULBRIGHT
Natyanova Performing Arts Centre explores new dance movements developed from Indian classical roots, along with Indian martial arts movements and principles of yoga, to form a genre which is contemporary in outlook, dealing with issues relevant in today’s world. We also practice and work on our classical roots and address a variegated audience from all strata of life.

Beginning with their inaugural performance premiered in 2009, Natyanova has performed at many National and International dance festivals and venues.

Premiere of New Contemporary Production - "Hiranya Garbha" - March 20th, 2009, Kolkata, work based on the Chakras.  Premiere of "Usha" Based on the Rg Veda Usa Suktas of Rishi Vishwamitra - Mohini Attam - Sangam Festival, Bhubaneswar, September 6, 2009. Uday Shankar Festival, Kolkata, Dec 2009. "Amar Mukti Aloye Aloye" - Feb 2010, Kolkata. Production based on Tagore to commemorate his 150 year celebrations. "Ardhanarishwar - the Equilibrium" - premiered in Kolkata, January 2011. Choreography and Performance of Amar Mukti Aloye Aloye for Tejas Foundation, Mumbai under the aegis of Min of Culture, Tagore Commemoration Grant Scheme, under the direction of Dr. Sandhya Purecha.

Natyanova’s work extends to all forms of performing arts. The Company works with a NGO Shamayita Math and Shamayita Convent School at Amarkanan, Bankura district where they conduct regular dance classes. Apart from performing and holding dance workshops, Natyanova aims at extending its teaching capabilities to under-privileged children in the future.

Natyanova is a non-profit organization spearheaded by Priyadarshini Ghosh as President and Artistic Director and Mohana Iyer as the Secretary and Associate Director.

Natyanova dreams to establish its presence not only in the other corners of the nation but also abroad. With a pool of talents and unparallel thoughts, Natyanova aims at identifying the most creative concepts keeping the traditional /classical content intact while exploring the contemporary style par excellence.
